Sarah Caughey
Director
Sarah is the founder of Content Law. With a wealth of experience advising both local and international clients - including studios, independent production companies, investors, distributors and talent - she is known for her practical, commercial approach and deep industry insight.
Sarah has practised law in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She spent over a decade in London, where she advised on high-profile film and television projects and media acquisitions. Her cross-jurisdictional experience gives her a unique perspective on the global content landscape.
Sarah helps clients structure deals, protect their rights and navigate the legal complexities of content creation and commercialisation.

Katie Baker
Director
Katie joined Content Law in 2024 after leading the Legal and Business Affairs team at the New Zealand Film Commission. She has also worked in private practice and in-house in London for a major US Studio. Based in Wellington, Katie has extensive experience providing pragmatic advice on independent productions from start to finish, including official co-productions.
